Timber Frames
What
are Timber Frames? Not to be confused with Elizabethan Black and White
oak framed houses, our Timber Frames are specially designed and engineered
structural panels which form the shell of the building.
All of our projects (and most of our customers) choose Timber Frames as they are quicker, more environmentally friendly, and provide greatest energy efficiency.
We design and manufacture our Timber Frames at our own workshops allowing greater quality control and production scheduling. External walls use 140 x 38mm CLS, and Internal walls use 89 x 38mm CLS. Some load-bearing inner frames and all external frames are clad in 9mm OSB. The outer surfaces of the external frames are also covered in a breathable but waterproof membrane.
All timber is from FSC or PEFC sources, as part of the Company’s
