AECB
– Association of Environment Conscious Building.
The AECB is a network whose aim is the promotion of environment-conscious
building. We are members of the AECB.
TRADA – Timber Research and Development Association.
TRADA is the UK’s leading independent timber research and advice
organisation. We are professional members of TRADA.
CITB – Construction Industry Training Board.
The CITB is an industry and government funded organisation whose purpose
is to enable high quality training for all of the construction industry.
We are registered members of CITB.
IiP
– Investors in People.
IiP is a National Scheme run by the government to give accreditation to
companies which have made a commitment to staff development as part of
their Business Planning. We received accreditation as an Investor in People
in August 2006.
Green
Dragon.
Green Dragon is a Welsh Assembly Government scheme designed to promote
a positive approach to environmental management, involving energy conservation
and minimising waste, together with full consideration of the impact of
business activities on the environment. We achieved Level 2 accreditation
in June 2007.
FSC and PEFC – Forest Stewardship Council and Programme
for Enforcement of Forest Certification.
We are establishing ourselves as registered members of the FSC and PEFC
organisations. These provide a chain of custody for timber, ensuring that
the timber we use comes from sustainable sources.
